Artist Bio
Born in Bremen, West Germany, Eva's family imigrated to Calagry, Alberta Canada when she was a young girl. Her love of art and things creative led her to take a Design Course at Mount Royal College. Over the years Eva has worked in Retail Window Display, as a Sales Manager and also as a part-time Art Teacher. She has also exhibited 26 works of art in Collage at the Muttart Art Callery.
Eva and her husband moved to Vancouver Island 5 years ago to be closer to their family and the ocean. They bought a fixer upper Cottage House, which they are lovingly working on.
Eva's newest collection of works is called "Whimsey Whites". "I've been playing with the concept of using architectural pieces and all things that fascinate my eyes for many years. It is another extension of my love of collage." Her cat Whimsey, was an abandoned and very sad looking injured Manx that took her 6 months to capture. He is now glowing in health and inspires her everyday. "I'm sure he is also some of the inspiration behind "Whimsey Whites" says Eva.
